You might already know Just the Jacket for our fun outfit accessories, but I’d love to take you behind the scenes and share how it all began. It started on a sunny day in France, wandering through the charming streets of Carcassonne. That’s where I bought the butterfly brooch you see in the photo in this blog. It was the very first brooch I ever bought for myself, and it opened up a whole new world of possibilities for textile decoration. I knew right then that I wanted to share this with others. Just the Jacket became a place dedicated entirely to accessories that make your textiles look even more beautiful, fun, and personal! I couldn’t find a shop like this anywhere else, and since I personally love wearing jackets, cardigans, blouses, and waistcoats, the name ‘Just the Jacket’ was born.
Why "finetuning" your outfit is so much fun
What do I love the most? The endless possibilities to "play" with textiles. There are so many ways to style your outfit with fun accessories, or even to brighten up your fabric accessories like bags, caps, and scarves! There is something for everyone, and every type of textile can be decorated. We currently focus on brooches, pins, button covers, and sleeve holders, but we hope to add many more product categories in the future. You can make your outfit or accessory as personal as you like, and it’s a guaranteed way to get lovely compliments from others!
Aside from managing the webshop, sourcing new items, packing orders, and running our social media, I also love spending time behind my sewing machine. I enjoy experimenting with different fabrics and exploring new possibilities for textile jewelry to bring to life.
Building Just the Jacket together
Just the Jacket is constantly evolving. I am always looking to expand our collection with unique accessories that make your clothes shine. But I don’t want to do this alone. You are the one wearing and styling these pieces, and your input is invaluable to me.
